Compare no gutters...  to snow gutters.

PRIORITY Alpine's new Snow & Storm Gutters are an innovative new alternative to conventional gutters (eaves trough's) This revolutionary patented design will solve many problems associated with channelling water at the periphery of a roof structure.

PRIORITY Gutters provide the following solutions;

- Leaf Guard

- Snow & Ice damage protection

- Fire Protection

- Reduce Ice Damming

- Control run-off & erosion

- Stop foundation damage to buildings & dwellings

- Trap water for drinking, washing etc

Australian snow is typically heavy with a high moisture content (wet snow). This type of snow sliding from a roof can do enormous damage to a standard gutter system. A perfect place to test and develop a Snow & Storm Gutter.

Many outsiders donít see Australia as a country with much or any snow. They wonder how this type of product could be developed in this huge dry continent.

Lets explode this myth.

Australia has 9 major ski resorts. Thredbo has hosted a world cup skiing event, and Perisher Blue is larger than most North American resorts with over 50 lifts and 1245 hectares (over 3000 acres) to ski.

The Kosciuszko Chalet at Charlotte pass.

Our alpine National Parks cover over 1,200,000 hectares of land (more than many small countries) but in comparison to the size of Australia this area is miniscule.

Water from our alpine areas is used in the snowy mountains hydro electric scheme, this is one of the most complex water and electricity utilities in the world and was the largest engineering project ever undertaken in Australia. The Scheme took 25 years to build and was completed in 1974. More than 100,000 people from over 30 countries came to work in the mountains. The water is then diverted inland to the Murray Darling basin, an integral farming area for Australia. The water is a precious commodity for us considering how dry the rest of our continent is and as you can imagine we must conserve as much water as we can.

For this reason gutters are needed in our alpine areas to collect water for the lodges without having to draw too much from the rivers and streams, this is one of the reasons why we have designed a snow and storm gutter.
